People Watch – March April 2010

PATRICK STRINGER has been appointed the new Victorian Commissioner to Greater China (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) and is based in Shanghai. Patrick has formerly worked for Austrade as a Senior Trade Commissioner to Vietnam and has some 25 years experience in senior management and marketing related roles in the private sector. Patrick replaces Charles Brent who was based in Shanghai for three years and recently returned to Australia.

James Greer has recently been appointed the China Manager for CBD Energy, a Sydney-based Renewable Energy Company. CBD Energy is looking to establish a Renewable Energy Centre of Excellence between Australia and China to conduct further R & D and to manufacture their graphite storage block technology. James has been in China for four years and is currently a Director of the China – Australia Chamber of Commerce in Beijing.
